Gary Cobb
Gary started his career in audio back in 1973, as the sound engineer for local band called Porter County Line. He started recording demos in his house in 1975 on a Sony 1/4" 2 track machine with a Peavey 600s mixer. He mixed live sound and cut demos for many local bands. He also jobbed himself out as a freelance engineer for a sound company called Bridgewater Custom Sound. During the mid 70's until the early 80's he took several courses in electronics at South Suburban Community College and Sound System and Control Room Design programs with Synergetic Audio Concepts of San Juan Capistrano, California. He was also the Front of House Engineer for many festivals from (1978 - 1995) in Chicago and Mexico City (i.e. Chicago Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Viva, Taste of Chicago, Mexico City Jazz and Blues Festivals). During this Time he added an Otari 1" 8 track and 3M 2" 16 track machine to his home studio. In Febraury 1984 he purchased a studio called Timbre recording, which had been around since the late 70's he changed the name of the facility to ARS (Audio Recording Studios) and reopened it in April of 84. Because Gary has maintained both his Live and Studio engineering jobs he manages to keep himself current in all facets of audio production. Still today Gary is actively involved in Live Sound, Mastering and Audio Restoration (he has been deemed an expert witness in the field of Audio Forensics by the Illinois legal system) and he has cleaned up and/or recovered many undercover tapes for the DEA, FBI, ATF, and DOC. His client list is comprised of many local, national, and international clients. He has mixed sound, designed systems, recorded or mastered for many different acts from Aerosmith, George Benson, Chuck Berry, Eddie Blazonczyk, Ray Charles, Stanley Clark, Al Dimeola, Cameo, Chicago, Peter Gabriel, Poi Dog Pondering, Diana Ross, Soul Children of Chicago, Dionne Warwick, White House Communications (since Gerald Ford up to & including the current administration), Lisbon World Expo'98, Hanover World Expo 2000, Israeli Philharmonic with Zubin Metha, London Symphony Orchestra, Placido Domingo, Ramone Vargas, and the Mexico City Symphony Orchestra and many more.

Nathan Trumble
Nathan began his recording career in 1990 recording local bands in the Northwest Indiana region on a Tascam 234 Sycast 4 track. He soon grew out of the cassette 4 track format and moved on to "bigger and better things", starting to dabble with a Tascam 48 OB 1/2" reel to reel 8 track machine. During this time, Nathan visited several notable recording studios such as The White Room in Detroit, gaining knowledge and insider tips on modern recording techniques. The "next big step" in Nathan's recording career was the purchase of his first digital recorder, a Roland VS880EX. The digital format opened his eyes to a new world of editing not previously possible with analog tape. As a musician himself, Nathan recorded his first solo CD, "BLUDD", on the Roland and mixed on Digidesign's Pro-Tools ( another big step in his digital editing career). Soon after the release of his first CD, Nathan realized he wanted to engineer and produce full time and decided to attend The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, receiving various certifications and finishing at the top of his class. The internship program at ARS provided Nathan with the final step to receive his diploma from the Conservatory.
Since this time, he has worked with many regional and national artist such as Billy Shehan, Enuffznuff, Jonny Kelly (Type-O-Negative) and Send The Dawn. Throughout his musical venture, engineering live sound was also a way for him to meet and experience new artist. Due to his experience, Gary Cobb (owner of ARS), has introduced Nathan to the corporate sound world. Recent corporate clients include McDonald's Corp., Roscor, and SCS.
Nathan is currently a freelance audio recording engineer residing in La Grange, Illinois, specializing in the hard rock/metal genre. Other interests include commercial production, corporate and tour live sound, beat production, digital editing and manipulation, amatuer web design (http://c.a.production.tripod.com) and when there's time to relax, keeping up on his favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys.
